Every once in a while we get to have a couple of puppies stay longer than their brothers and sisters. Two of Penny's thirteen haven't found their new families yet and we are really enjoying having a little time to get to know them! There really isn't any reason that these boys haven't found their families yet. Bingham (blue/green stripe collar) is a little bigger and is a solid apricot color. Chester (solid red collar) is in the middle of the pack on size and he has a lovely red color with white markings. Both had curly coats with no/low shedding.
Chester loves to be right next to us--he likes to snuggle and be held and doesn't like to be left out of the fun-i.e. he cries in his pen when he can see us but can't get to us. He does eventually settle down and keep himself happy but he prefers not to be left out of the fun. He will do best with a family that is home most of the time. We think he will be about 40-45 pounds as an adult. Bingham is a little bigger than Chester and will likely be 55-60 pounds. He has a mellow little personality. He loves to be with people but doesn't mind a crate either. Both are doing well with basic training and are using a dog door and we can't wait to see them with their new families.
Annie's babies are growing right on schedule! They are all nursing and sleeping and snuggling with their mama most of the day! Read more about their development over on Annie's puppy page.
Annie delivered nine healthy, active babies on Sunday evening. They all started nursing immediately after birth and all are growing and moving right on schedule. We have five boys--one cream, two red, and two apricot. We have four girls--two cream, one apricot and one red. The apricot girl is the only one that is obviously curly--all the others appear to have wavy coats but we will be able to tell more about texture and color as they get older. For now everyone is busy resting and growing!
We had pictures for Ginger's babies yesterday. It takes a village and several hundred pictures to capture the adorableness of ten wiggly puppies! We do have some darlings right now though. Click here to see more pictures and videos...
Cali had 7 beautiful puppies early New Years day. Labor went well and fast. She has settled in with her puppies and is being a very attentive mommy. There are 3 boys and 4 girls. Calis' puppies will be ready to go home just after Valentines day around February 23rd.

These little one are growing like crazy. They have changed a lot this week as they are moving from creepy crawly babies to little toddling toddlers. They are starting to wrestle and mouth each other which is always so entertaining--we just sit around watching puppies play all the time. Yikes! Maggie is still really attentive and she still doesn't like it if we pick the babies up out of her sight so we keep them close to their bed and their mom. She will have an easier time as they get more and more independent. We think these darling little black minis are going to be fun for any busy family. Dark coats are easier to maintain and keep clean looking for sure! They will start trying out solid food this week and will move to a larger box where they can learn to use a dog door soon after that.
Bisoux and Gryff have darling puppies! They are 4 1/2 weeks and growing every day! They are just starting to eat solid foods and are all using a liter box to go potty. They will start using a dog door to go outside in the next few days. We love having babies in the house! Read more here...
