This litter of chocolate has been just as enjoyable as real chocolate. That's saying a lot because I truly LOVE chocolate. Everyone's eyes are wide open and they've all begun walking pretty well. They were introduces to a litter box this week and should start to pick up on it with in a week or so. They have all had their nails trimmed twice and had their first bath for picture day. Every one managed well with the bath and we really didn't have anyone who squirmed much at all.
We are coming up on Family match day for Daisy and Penny’s puppies! We have never had two moms at the same time so we really appreciate all of your patience and flexibility as we do our very best to make sure that each family gets the right dog for them.
We are donating one of these puppies to a great family in need of a therapy dog for their three special needs children. We have a fantastic trainer coming Saturday morning to help us with temperament testing to best match the children with a puppy. We will have a lot of information about personality types based on her interaction with the puppies. She is in VERY HIGH DEMAND up in Sun Valley and she isn’t able to start evaluations until later in the morning on Saturday. We have shifted all puppy visit times to the afternoon so we will have enough time for Fran to work her magic.
So here's how it will work:
I have set matching times according to deposits received and position on the waiting list.
The Jensen family is first on the list for Penny’s puppies. They came last week and chose Pongo (green collar) as the perfect pup for their family.

Lucy is still the amazing mother I always thought she would be. Se is very attentive and keeps puppies bellies full and bodies clean. These little ones are beginning to try and walk. They are standing and taking a few wobbly steps before they fall back down. Almost everyone's eyes are completely open. By the time they get their 3 week pictures they should all be open but will likely still be the glossy blue foggy color. It's so fun to watch them as mamma comes into the box with them they smell her and all begin to whimper and start moving around to get to mom so they can eat. We got some pictures of these little ones today but now that they are moving pictures can be quite the challenge. I am grateful for digital cameras that make it possible to take 100 pictures in hopes of getting just a few you can crop.
Pictures at last! Why are there some pups that only have one picture and others have more? The answer is simple--some pups are more photogenic than others when I'm taking pictures! I will keep trying to catch more photos--they are as cute as they look!
Daisy's puppies are growing like crazy. They love to run around on the grass and they are using the dog door well. They usually choose to spend most of the day outside in the beautiful Idaho sunshine! All of these puppies are eating solid food.
