Trixy's puppies are darling! Their eyes have all begun to open this week. They are beginning to get around better and attempting to walk--actually, it's more like sliding right
now! These next two weeks they will get more mobile as they steady their feet beneath them. Today they will get their toenails clipped to help keep mom free from lots of tiny little scratches.
Some of their coats are beginning to change in color. Supersize, our black phantom boy, is not black at all! He has sable coloring and his under coat is fading to a beautiful deep brown color. Our Cream Male has some more prominent parti spots on his face coming out. The three apricot females are starting to get an individual tone to their coat that is making it easier to tell them apart from each other. Our back and white parti boy still seems to be the same coloring just as our two (1 female and 1 male) parti brindle puppies. The white female may have a very faint cream parti mask but I can't quite tell yet. The sable boy has a cream/apricot undercoat coming in.
Next week I will be taking individual pictures of these little ones so that you can see their beauty for yourselves. When this litter was born there was not more than 3oz difference between all of them. Now almost a full pound separates the largest from the smallest! At birth they were between 8.2oz and 11.1oz. Their weights today are between 1lb 2.7oz and 2lbs 1.7oz.
